Câu hỏi thường gặp
From its inception, Lucky Qi has upheld the principle of offering high-quality natural jadeite sourced from Myanmar—home to the world’s largest and highest-grade jadeite reserves. We are committed to ensuring all Lucky Qi jadeite products are professionally hand-polished and free from any chemical treatments.
All Lucky Qi products come with gem certifications issued by the Gemstone and Jewelry Institute of Vietnam (VIET GEMS – GOLD & JEWELLERY INSTITUTE - GIV) or directly by Thần Châu Ngọc Việt. These certificates verify the origin and quality of our jadeite jade, assuring customers of its authenticity and adherence to international standards.
Thần Châu Ngọc Việt is a renowned company with over 30 years of history. It is one of Vietnam’s largest and most reputable businesses in the gemstone and jewelry industry, specializing in jadeite jade and gemstones. Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the late artisan and company founder, Đào Trọng Cường, Thần Châu Ngọc Việt acquired the world’s largest jadeite boulder weighing 35 tons, along with thousands of tons of jadeite at their facility in Hải Dương, Vietnam, since 2009.
Thần Châu Ngọc Việt was also the first company in Vietnam to create gemstone art paintings. Artisan Đào Trọng Cường is credited with pioneering the craft of embedding jade into paintings, a legacy that has provided employment to thousands of Vietnamese in remote and mountainous regions over the past 30 years. He has been honored with numerous titles and awards, including “Golden Hands Artisan,” the “Vietnam Gold Star Award,” and recognition from the Vietnamese Prime Minister.
Lucky Qi is honored to be an official commercial partner of Thần Châu Ngọc Việt, offering a wide range of jewelry, accessories, gifts, and decorative items crafted from natural jadeite jade. Lucky Qi combines modern, stylish designs with the cultural and artistic heritage of jade, striving to connect people, nature, and traditions through meaningful customer experiences.
Due to its rarity and economic value, jadeite jade is often counterfeited or chemically treated to enhance the appearance of lower-quality jade. Common treatments include bleaching, polymer impregnation, or dyeing, all of which compromise the jade’s natural qualities, energy, and durability. In some cases, these chemicals can harm the wearer’s skin or health.
Methods to verify the authenticity of jadeite jade range from simple observations—such as color, structure, surface characteristics, hardness, and temperature—to advanced tests like density measurements or microscopic examination. For detailed guidance, refer to our article: Guide to identifying real jadeite jade.
Humans have cherished jade for over 7,000 years. Early civilizations referred to all jade-like stones as “jade” due to limited scientific understanding. In 1863, French mineralogist Alexis Damour discovered two distinct types of jade:
• Jadeite Jade (commonly called “jadeite”)
• Nephrite Jade
In English, the distinction is clear, with the terms “Jadeite Jade” and “Nephrite Jade.” However, in Vietnamese, the naming conventions remain inconsistent. Jadeite Jade is sometimes also referred to as “cẩm thạch,” while Nephrite Jade is occasionally called “ngọc bích.”
Jadeite Jade is more valuable than Nephrite Jade. Jadeite (Mohs hardness: 6.5-7) is harder than Nephrite (Mohs hardness: 6-6.5), has a glassy luster compared to Nephrite’s waxy appearance, and is mostly sourced from Myanmar, which accounts for over 90% of the world’s supply. Meanwhile, Nephrite Jade is more common and found in countries like China, the USA, Canada, and New Zealand.
Historically, the term “Fei-Tsui” referred to the highest-grade jadeite jade, known for its uniform color, clarity, and brilliance. Today, due to its rarity, all jadeite jade is collectively called “phỉ thúy jade.”
Despite its high hardness (Mohs 6.5-7), jadeite jade can still be scratched, chipped, or lose its luster over time, especially in Vietnam’s hot and humid climate.
Precautions for Wearing Jadeite Jade:
• Avoid wearing jade jewelry during sports or strenuous activities.
• Protect it from impact or high falls.
• Avoid contact with sharp objects or rough surfaces.
Tips for Storage and Maintenance:
• Remove jade jewelry when bathing or sleeping.
• Store jade jewelry separately in soft-lined boxes to prevent scratches.
• Regularly clean with a soft cloth to maintain its shine.
